the shop i bought it off seemed reluctant to swap it I have changed the wiring as suggested by Stem and ianmcd and it works thank you guys!

I have just checked the receiver type I have and it is a dual type even though if looked like a single channel receiver when I bought it online. does it need to be replaced for a single channel receiver or can I just wire it differently?
