I was really hoping you weren't going to say that. Do you think it would be possible to take off the fitting? If I do cut it out, is there an easy way to do it without the top section of the pipe falling down? Thank you!!

Hi thanks for replying! I tried that this morning, but the washer from a standard 40mm coupler doesn't seem to fit, it looks like there is no room for the washer to sit (see pic). I cant combine the new coupler with the old fitting either, its not tight enough to screw on (see pic)...

Hey Everyone, I'm redoing my kitchen at the moment and have a question about the waste pipe. In the corner of the room is the main waste pipe coming down from the bathroom. The connecting fitting looks like it has been bonded, so I doubt I can get it off (not tried), my only other solution...
