    You need a gas engineer here, not a small problem. Possible: Expansion vessel broken, leak from mains water into central heating water.

    Tony: I think all the boiler manufacturers, the power flush association, kamco, fernox, etc. all disagree with you. So much that manufacturers do not work on boilers that have not been power flushed; as sludge is related to 80% of breakdowns. There is no current better ways to clean your system...

    Power flushing can save loads of problems if done correctly. There is and association for power flushing now where you can get more answers on how and what.

    Can I have a Gas Certificate issued by a different plumber?

    it's true. when a gas appliance gets registered it takes around 2 weeks for the cert to arrive for the gas safe register. I cannot wait for payment that long either.

    problems since new ch pump fitted

    Piping problem: The incorrect piping is allowing a stronger pump to suck air down the vent pipe. Really a plumber repair.
