    Hi, Fiveminutejob, I mean, kiln-dried sand like this http://www.wickes.co.uk/Wickes-Block-Paving-Sand-Major-Bag/p/22020 It has pretty small grain rather then sharp sand. I would mix it with Jointex Easy.

    I am not sure how it suits for slabs with wide gap, but better to use block paving sand.

    Dulux Weathershield is acryl based paint and... not the best paint for windows in rainy climate... I painted my window Tikkurila Valtti Teho. This is oil based paint, dry about 12-24 hours, but it is durable and weather and water proof. I sanded down wood frame where I could and painted in 1...

    It looks like overdried timber... I would recommended to replace the wosrt. In couple of month some cracks become wider... p.s "de luxe" in title looks very suspicious for me
