    Anyone recognise this product DETECTALL

Yes there is an Alarm. We do arm it but I’ve never tested it so I guess that’s what it’s for. I didn’t think of that because on the alarm in our old house the speaker was internal to the alarm panel. Cheers.

    crack in ceiling

Hi, jhon123 The ceiling is textured. I’ve attached a photo this is a close up about 20cm away. It’s straight so I assume it runs along the ceiling plasterboard joints. What helps hide it is that the ceiling has artificial wooden beams that run perpendicular to the crack (this makes painting...

    crack in ceiling

Hi Robbie uk The house is only about 28 years old, its a 3 bed detached and not very big. I'm not sure if any joint tape has been used the only way to tell would be to open up the crack which I don't really want to do. I'm going to try as you suggested, this method is also mentioned in one of...

    crack in ceiling

I have an Artex (I think its artex) covered lounge ceiling and have noticed there is a crack that runs the whole length of it. The crack is in the centre and is a reasonably good straight line so I think it’s probably along the plaster board joints. When the room is warm it is barely noticeable...

    drain valves not opening

Hi Breezer, Water came out because I unscrewed it too much and the whole inner fitting fell out leaving a hole. On inspection it appears the washer had compacted and although brittle must have stuck at the lower end forming a seal I’ll try pinging the washer as CORGIMAN suggests. Cheers.

    drain valves not opening

Hi, I’m trying to drain a central heating system but the drain valves appear to be stuck i.e. no water flows out of an attached hose (the hose is ok). There are four in the system on various lower floor radiators but all seem blocked. They turn okay as if they are opening, so the problem...
