Hi....thanks for your answers....I have a two gang / 2 way lighting switch with quite short supply cables - 1.5mm T & E and there is not much room for any JB....the wires are quite short and it would be easier if the supply feed (L & N ) was to be taken into a connector block inside the switch...

Hi guys....my question is.....can both Line & Neutral be put into a connector block within a deep lighting switch box ?....would be easier due to short cables giving insufficient length for JB behind....ta for answers...

Hi Wes... I think your friend is getting confused with parts of a circuit drop like feeding thru conduit run to a switch / sckts etc.... Drilling the joists to allow cable routing is ok (subject to build compliance on hole size / position etc) - see link but clipping is ok, but perhaps...

Yeh........those guys have to wear special overall suits of copper due to the PD across the wire..........can be hundreds of volts over a metre....mmm....rather them than me !!
