We have to either have our current bolier which is an Ideal (make) one up to make way for something which is about 15 years old or the plumber has quoted 1500 to have a potterton gold heat only installed.
Any advice would be appreciated.
We are having to move the boiler a little higher up the wall because the gas pipe at the bottom is in the way.
Just wanted to explore the possibility of constant hot water and gaining the space for the larger shower.
It says that the current boiler is about 74% effivient where the newer...

I have a 4 bedroomed house
1 cloakroom with toilet and small hand basin
1 en suite with handbasin and shower (Crap)
1 family bathroom with 1 bath and a hand basin
And of course a kitchen sink
So to clarify
An unvented system is better than a vented system?
An unvented system is more economical to run than a vented?
I have a 4 bedroom house, i should get an unvented system rather than a combi?

Whats the difference between a Vented and Unvented system?
Is one more economical than the other.
What are the plus points and negatives?

Length is not really an issue as the current bath finishes short of the wall as there are cabinets that run along the back.
740 is the max width though, been looking for a while now and had no luck
