mike, firstly yes connect hose to lowest rad with drain off, open drain off when water has stopped go and open bleed valves on upstairs rads, this will get rid of all upstairs water. now you can get to work on pipework. to refill close all bleed valves and drain offs, fill via filling loop top...

Hi all, i am having a loft conversion, had the first inspection today only to be told i need steels either end and 6x2's running between them, has any body got any ideas where i can work out the thickness of rsj's needed fast?? holding up builder till this is done, i dont really want to wait for...

anybody know of a way of calculating the steels yourself?? thanks.
