what is the air pressure switches job? and also the flow switch's job?and what is an RGI
if you mean corgi registered enginner, i have had one out he says it could be the air pressure switch
the flame runs and i can hear the pump, im not sure if the fan is running continously
but the flame comes on, heats the water to the specified temperature set( dosnt affect what this is)
then the flame goes out to just pilot, the pump carries on running
and the central heating stay on till...

i have changed the diverter valve, and it was working fine before
what is the flow switch
and what is a RGI
also the fan and pump are both running constantly when central heating is turned on
There is no summer/winter switch on the boiler
the switch is just for central heating and hot water
or just hot water
i have to turn it back to just hot water then back to ch and hw for the boiler burner to restart
the pump is running continously while the central heating is on
i was told something about an air pressure switch???
but i dont know
also there is a sensore in the boiler connected to the diverter valve
when the wire is taken out and put back in it turns the heating on
could the sensor have become faulty?
i have to turn the central heating switch off and back on to put them back on
the pump is running continously, and working fine, all the heaters work fine but then the water goes cold and heaters go cold.
the burner wont restart when pipes go cold
ive had a thermostat replaced in the past...
ariston a23 mffi combi boiler
i have just replaced the diverter valve on this boiler, as the water wouldnt work but thats fine
but now when i turn on the central heating, the boiler is fine, when it waits for the pipes to cool because it is hot it dosnt come back on??
what could be the problem?
