Thanks Rocks1, your tip paid off looking at motor brushes half hour ago and that's what it looks like, i tried machine again before pulling it out of unit and it started and then a slow spin with a fuzzy sparking noise then it stopped and wouldn't do any more. Light bulb lit up above my head...

Hope any one can help with my problem: set machine to do a cycle any cycle, go to press start and nothing happens. The start /pause button continues to flash. No error messages appear. does this sound like a repairable fault or should we cut our losses and buy a new machine ? Thanks.
