The letterbox is facing what I have marked as number 1

If you look at the image there are 3 doors none of which point in the direction of the number 1 on there (which is the main street postcode) so not sure how the above would work? My worry is that due to both being highways I cannot come forward of either road from the house without planning...

So if I left it off the side would it still need planning permission? And which one 1 or 2 is the principal elevation?
