Access to undo the compression fittings onto the solid tap tails (or to cut any pipework) really isn't too good. If the water heater was out of the way you'd be a bit better off for plumbing in new tap tails. You could get your head into the kitchen unit a bit better to see what you're doing.
We had changed Baxi back boilers to electric unvented cylinders in a couple of flats that couldn’t be replaced very easily or cost effectively with a gas boiler.
It struck me that so many plumbers don’t have the G3 but they’re all (or at least a lot of them that do Gas work) are happy to...
In a small flat my father rents out I discovered today the old kitchen mixer tap spout has broken off. Oddly, it looks like the spout would be replaceable but of course I doubt you'd find anything to replace it with!
There's a 10L unvented water heater under the sink with a serious spaghetti...
To update and ask a question pls.
I got there today to check it out. The float wasn’t actually sticking but it was obvious the fill valve wasn’t closing off when holding its lever at what should be closed position.
I took the top of the fill valve apart. I manipulated and rinsed what seems to...
Am I right that with the later generation of cisterns (a 6/7 years old close coupled pan) with push buttons in centre of lid that if water is trickling into the pan it’s most likely the centre flush itself at fault rather than the fill valve.
This seems a common problem!
What’s the best plan...
Ok thanks. Only me been using the loo and 100% nothing flushed that shouldve caused an issue.
But the micro switch and membrane I assume are the only parts that could cause this? Should I get a new micro switch and membrane if end up dis-assembling..?
Any recommendations on de-scaler to try?
Thanks (also above reply)
What product would be best to use?
I have to say the machine shouldn’t really be gunged up with its light use, but regular use of flush. Our water (Edinburgh) doesn’t generally cause scaling up.
Why does the running on noise sound as it does? Am I right it’s not the...
It's a 3 year old Sanislim, with 99% light (no1) use. It still works ok but it making the running on/over running noise.
To me, the noise sounds more rotational possibly without pump noise, so my best guess is it might be the blades spinning after the water has been pumped away. Does this sound...
Rung them today.
Not tried it yet but Geberit were helpful. Won’t be able to try again for a day or two but it sounds like it should come off by pushing the plate TO THE RIGHT.
I was trying pushing up, then pushing it to the left. So fingers crossed.
