    Hot rads or nothing

Thanks eversomuch. So the 'temp' on the thermostat dial is the temp in which the boiler kicks in and turns the rads on? So what if I have set the timer on the control panel for the heating to come on at say 5am but it is a hot morning and hotter than the kick in temp on the thermostat? Does the...

    Hot rads or nothing

It's a GloWorm of some sort. I'm not at home to look at it though.

    Hot rads or nothing

No we didnt. Just jumped in feet first! Hopefully it's not too bad and we'll be getting a new boiler when we get the loft conversion done in the Spring but hoping for a suitable fix in the meantime covering us for this winter. Might just have to get someone round. Thanks anyway.

    Hot rads or nothing

Hi. In August we moved to a bungalow which has been empty for 5-6yrs. Anyway, we want our rads on constantly but at a relatively low temp. My CH and HW is on constant at the boiler control box. We have a thermostat dial in the hallway. If I turn the dial to just over 24 degrees, rads (except...

Bosch oven/grill is tripping the electrics

We have managed to turn the oven on at a low heat initially, then increase the heat gradually, and it has worked OK I think it may be moisture that needs drying out, slowly.

Bosch oven/grill is tripping the electrics

Oooo, that sounds like a proper electrician job, then. There is 1 specific fuse on the RCD for the 'cooker'. No, although it hasnt been used for 4yrs due to vacant property, it was a newish kitchen.

Bosch oven/grill is tripping the electrics

Second issue with our bungalow. Been living here for almost 3wks. The electric Bosch oven has been working fine. Two days ago, we went to use the grill but it tripped the RCD. The grill would turn on fine but would trip when it was turned up. Tried it a couple of times and it kept tripping the...

    New House, New System

Thanks. Sorry for sounding a silly sod but I didnt really understand it earlier. Those Hive's look good but got other things to pay out for. Will look at it in more detail when we get the loft conversion done.

    New House, New System

Thanks for the reply. We did leave our timer on for heating and water but it made a bit of an annoying noise in our bedroom, so we just left the water on and turned the heating off. The noise may have been because our house had been empty and unused for 5 years. I might try it again for a bit...

    New House, New System

Hi. New to this forum. Just moved into a new bungalow. The 'Gloworm' boiler is in the garage with no internal door. There is a control panel (Drayton LP722) next to the boiler which operates the heating and hot water. Obviously with the boiler and control panel in the garage, this is awkward...
