I had a problem with the wave not getting up to temperature, ran a digital battery powered thermostat along side it, the wave was out of calibration by +0.8 of a degree so I set back the calibration by -0.8, much better now

We get power outs and surges that has wrecked many PCB,I must have had 4 replaced in the last five years, the last PCB Worcester replaced had a power surge protector built in and the main wiring loom had to be replaced because of the modification, not saying that’s your problem, but...
How have you been using the wave? Just as a thermostat? Has it been in weather compensation mode? Are you using the timer or is your heating constantly on using the wave as an thermostat?
With the worcester wave in weather compensation mode there is a way to stop the pump running 24/7 within the app,
Set up timings for your normal heating times but use wake then sleep, then home then sleep, and more if need be but always switch off the heating with the sleep option,click on...
