If you can’t see underneath, try squeezing a phone in somewhere to take a photo? Please don’t drop the phone between the boards though! Or a decent endoscope might help; the cheapo eBay/Amazon jobs typically don’t focus more than a few inches away so might not be much help. Otherwise…...

Wires to my pump look fine. Other end's the problem. Can you remember how the front of the controller comes off please?

Great stuff thanks Stem. Yes the wire's missing, the installer can't figure out how it connects at the controller (it was taken apart by someone else before the re-fit). I'll have a look later / see if I can locate terminals on the controller. Otherwise, the mixer works OK so might look at...

Thanks guys. It's a flat cable all right. Pink. Shower's unbranded and I can't find any paperwork that came with it. Away atm so will post photos next time am home (might help someone else here one day, never know).

Fix from side at an angle to fix to the bottom OSB. And come down from top , unless you've glued DPM right to the edge already? Ensure fixings don't protrude so DPM is protected. Otherwise something like Sticks Like Sh*t to secure at the top. In any case, to avoid having to chisel out all that...

Would it help if you could fix a board (20mm thick say) between the OSB layers at the edge (so that it's face would be flush with the edges of the OSB)? The insulation would need to be trimmed back somehow so this board could slot in place, so to speak. Is everything already fixed in place?

Happily took a bucket from the beach when short for a concrete mix recently. Easier than 15 mile round trip to builders' merchant. Probably not strictly allowed - aren't beaches owned by Crown Estate or something? Up to a point at least?

Thanks catlad. Had another look and removed part of the fascia. Both parts were nailed together so must’ve gone on that way. So reckon you’re right with sourcing deep enough fascia. Or maybe just more economical to use two pieces whenever their ‘standard’ board was too narrow. Can of worms –...
