i have a '96 vauxhall vectra 2.0i cdx auto and the sports mode switch on the gear lever doesn't work. could it be the switch itself or maybe a fuse. before start up when the instrument lights come on the dashboard,the sports mode indicator light comes on and goes out on start up

1 want to lay 8x4 plywood sheets over floorboards before laying wood flooring. can anyone tell me the best way: glue down,nail down or screws. if the best way is to screw them what would the best screws be. i was thingking of 10 guage,1 1/4 inch.
