Replacing Randell 102 - odd wiring

That definitely looks to be how its wired up. I thought the boiler always had a live and the pump live was switched from the thermostat / timer. Hmmm :?

Replacing Randell 102 - odd wiring

Ah yes sorry - there's also one wire from the thermostat that goes direct to the boiler/pump

Replacing Randell 102 - odd wiring

Hi, I need to replace a Randell 102 and have purchased a Horstmann Centaurplus C27. I tried to swap the units over today using the wiring guide provided with the C27 but had no joy. The boiler is a Potterton Suprima 60L (pumped) but there's no hot water circuit, only heating. I've...

Key Spins in Mortice Lock on One Side

Hi, We've had some new keys cut and have found that one of them just spins when you try and lock the door. This only happens from the outside and only on trying to lock it - can lock/unlock from inside and unlock from outside. Any ideas? Is this a poorly cut key or a dodgy lock? TIA.

    Telephone Connection Box & Sockets

An update and further question! Openreach came round today and installed our new line and the guy kindly identified the cable but wasnt prepared to connect it up to the internel network. Ive not done it yet as it was time to come home but the socket I want to use for the extension has a...

Replacing Randell 102 with a 7 day timer

We're just moving into a new office that has a Randell 102 timer installed. As we're not going to be in at the weekends I'd rather replace the 102 with a timer that can have separate programmes for the weekend. I believe I'm right in saying that the Randell 102 and the electronic Randell...

    Telephone Connection Box & Sockets

Well that was my thinking, lol. If I don't get as kind an engineering as yourself, armed with a multimeter to test for continuity it surely wouldnt be too tricky?

    Telephone Connection Box & Sockets

Many thanks for the reply. I've not got access to this unfortunately. I do however have Openreach coming round on Wednesday to install a Featureline so wonder if with a few kindly words they'd look for me if it doesnt take too long.

    Telephone Connection Box & Sockets

Hi, We're moving into a new office that has several (approx 20) telephone sockets dotted around the offices that all come back to a connector box such as this: The phone system we've installed uses CAT5e so we're not using any of the existing phone cabling or sockets. However, we will...

    Modern Alarms

Ok... having had another try the only things I need claryfying for the setup are: Zone Setup - By default each is set to "Entry route zone enabled" - Presumably all zones except the intended entry zone (in our case front door) need to be set to disabled? To program the system after loading...

    Modern Alarms

My main query was over the zone programming. By default does each zone alarm or set as entry? I've managed to get to the office today (finally less snow around) and did the factory reset. No alarms sounded when the chip was reinserted, just left the system with a solid power light. I then...
