I've been reading all the other postings on hobs. Could I use 6mm cable instead, or stay with 4mm and replace 45amp fuse with a 30amp one. Or 6mm cable with 30amp fuse. Someone out there will know!

I have a 45 amp supply on a 10mm2 cable to a control unit with socket. The 10mm2 cable goes from the control unit to a terminal outlet box. The new hob requires a 30amp 4mm2 cable. Can I connect a 4mm2 cable from the hob to the 10mm cable at either the terminal outlet box or control unit? Look...
