Replacing dual fuel bathroom towel radiator with hot water only towel radiator

You’d be better fitting something like this that has a radiator section built in. Chatsworth Savoy Traditional Heated Towel Rail Radiator I fitted this exact one and it gets nice and toasty.

    Replace Ring Doorbell with Hikvision

Thanks for the replies guys, really appreciated. I like the appearance of the DS-KV6113-WPE1(C) unit so will likely go for this. Surprised i cant plug it straight into the NVR as mine supports PoE and works great for the 6x cameras i have connected to it. What model of switch did you use to...

    Replace Ring Doorbell with Hikvision

Did you ever get this working? I want to replace my eufy doorbell with a Hikvision DS-KV6113-WPE1(C) and integrate this into my NVR DS-7608NI-I2/8P. I wanted the doorbell to constantly record to the NVR and create alerts & 2-way audio video via the Hik Connect app when someone rings the...

    Low resistance on microwave oven

Never fails to amaze me how many people think PAT applies to anything electrical. P = Portable, a microwave is not really classed as a portable device.

    Double Socket Warm to Touch

I have loads of LAP USB sockets in my house, been working fine for at least 10 years. For charging purposes they are far from obsolete.

Lost PC, what was on the hard drive?

I would treat all data you have on it as compromised and change passwords etc ASAP. On your new PC I would suggest using something like KeePass

ICOS24 condensate trap plastic nut corroded

Noticed my ICOS24 boiler was dripping from the rear right area of the lower plate a few days ago. Isolated the power and called British Gas in to take a look. The engineer found the issue, a corroded plastic nut that holds the condensate drain rubber hose to the S-trap. I was amazed as to why...

    Damp hot tub room

Pics would be good but sounds like a non-starter. I would pull the lot down. How bad we the bits you can't see likely to be?,

Outdoor taps in winter, how do you protect yours?

In the three properties i have lived in over the last 20 years all have had outside taps on the rear wall and i have never bothered to turn off water or insulate them over the winter. They have never caused me an issue (yet)
