    Emulsion on Anaglypta textured wallpapepr

I have been wallpapering using Anaglypta Argo paintable wallpaper and panting with Dulux Matt emulsion in “sail white”. I am finding the painting is drying patchy in areas and appears more when looking across the wall, so I think it’s some of the edges of the embossed pattern. I’ve already...

    Filler for MDF countersunk screws

I’ve found the the Ronseal High Performance one and that gets good reviews, and it’s 2 part so that should do the trick

Fitting skirting to newly skimmed walls

My walls have been skimmed, with some bonding in places first, and I will be fitting MDF skirting using mostly grab adhesive. How long should I wait for the plaster to dry before fitting, and is there any need to seal the wall before fitting?

Which screws and plugs for MDF skirting?

They are proper blocks, but if drilled them before without hammer so will do that again.

Which screws and plugs for MDF skirting?

Later this week my living room will be plastered and I will be fitting new 14mm MDF bullnose skirting. I will be using grab adhesive but don’t want to fully rely on this so will use screws and plugs too. My walls are grey blocks. Which size screws and plugs would you recommend?

    Openreach equipment

Thanks I know what it’s for and where it goes, just don’t know whether or not I can pull it away from the wall. Maybe I just tell the plasterer to stay away from it.

    Openreach equipment

I am about to have my walls skimmed and need to know how I take these two bits off the wall. I assume the square box just lifts off screws, but does anyone know how to remove the round bit just so the plasterer can get behind it?

Sizing new plastered walls and ceiling

I have recently had some plastering done to walls and ceiling. These will be wallpapered using blown vinyl and patterned paper. Previously I have used a watered down wallpaper paste to seal the walls but this has always been hit and miss, and not sure if there is anything better to use. Can I...

    Putting HDMI in wall

No we don’t. The internal wall is flat so no chimney breast, it’s all outside.

    Putting HDMI in wall

It would be Sky Q box, Xbox etc, so not an option to mount behind

    Putting HDMI in wall

Ok I will use 135 degree bends then and trim flush with the wall, and perhaps cover with brush plates just for a neater finish.

    Putting HDMI in wall

Actually the plumbing pipe idea would work great. I’m thinking a 90 degree fitting on each end of a short length of pipe buried in the wall with the fitting flush or even slightly proud of the finished wall.

I am putting tv on the wall above a unit and don’t want any cables visible
