So there's nothing I can do at all to make it hotter?

My bath water is lukewarm, so I removed the panel and tried to adjust the preset temperature, but it won't budge when I try and turn it anticlockwise? It will only go clockwise to the cooler side? The valve is a Gummers Bristan MT503

How does one remove the caps? I've tried with my fingers but they're pretty stuck on there lol

I'm trying to remove my bath panel, but it's not being cooperative. I've cut the silicone, and I've tried pulling up it away from the bath from underneath, but it's still not budging. It's got little white things as you can see in the picture, are they what's stopping me from removing it? TIA
