Im having exactly the same problem, having to reset before the C/H comes on. Did you ever find the problem?

Hi My central heating suddenly started not coming on at 5.30 every morning, if i click the programmer to off then back onto auto or all day the boiler starts up and is fine. It just wont start on timer!!! I have replaced the programmer (Horstmann C27) and still have the same problem...
