is that expensive, can I fit it myself knowing nothing about electrics?

I was cleaning my v dirty extractor fan and stuck a pen in it (i know, I know) something clicked and now it won't work. I can't see any obvious switches etc that I amy have knocked. Help? Do I need an electrician to fix it?
