    Well a Schuko plug is earthed anyway with its proper socket so what is the difference? Why should earthing a double insulated appliance be unsafe? So its safe then, thanks for the info. Just trying to stay safe myself:).

    Dont worry i will , its just i asked on another forum and another machine user suggested maybe just a 3amp lead but on here 13amp,and then im told they are only rated to 10a. Because of this confusion i have asked the seller to supply the correct connection if they can because iv now noticed...

    Well - what could possibly go wrong with, or be dangerous about, a cheap 40W laser engraver? Question for you - was this a lot cheaper than ones genuinely made and sold in Europe? If so, do you think that the difference in price is entirely down to profiteering on the part of the expensive...

    I see what you mean there, i think it must mean operating.There seems to be lots of youtube vids on this machine so ill double check the instructions with other users hopefully. Not sure about it having a flo sensor but i dont like the sound of things overheating, ill look into this.

    Ground connection on the back of machine but i thought that was for the US style system with 110v. I thought if the plug was earthed then this ground connection doesnt need to be used?

    Yea like that machine, just checked the tracking info and it came from Germany. Location portsmouth but based in china but item came from Germany, confusing stuff. The laser is cooled by clean water that runs through the tube i think. There is small water pump with the machine

    It says CE on it. Yea bought from ebay uk, it says item location Portsmouth CE marked on the front of machine but i suppose they can just stick that on. Ebay seller location portsmouth

    Hi , its 40w laser and has a lid with a little srew. I'll defo be wearing suitable safety glasses. There is a extractor fan included but it has same plug as the machine so im just going to get a different extractor or use one of my dust extractors to push the fumes outside.
