Hi I have an oldish F&E system with a single Honeywell 2-port valve. The valve body (not the motorised head) seems to be stuck in the closed position. With the motorised head removed I can turn the valve with my fingers but no heat gets through to the rad side. I have a new Honeywell valve...

I didn't realise that. I assumed that the heater element at the top of the machine was for hot air only.

Update 2: I googled E36 and found out that it meant an earth problem with the dryer heaters. I unplugged the connectors and it now seems to be (so far) working OK again as a washing machine.

Update: I came across an earlier post describing how to get into diagnostic mode. I followed this and it came up with error code E36. Thanks in advance to any suggestions.
