Thanks. The flat is from 1929. Floors are engineered wood on thin wood floor boards that run perpendicular to the engineered floor.

Years ago I fitted new radiators in my flat where there were none before. The pipes were fitted to the surface of the existing skirting. It looks horrible with plastic trunking. I'm wondering about a more elegant solution to this? Any ideas? Photos included.
