thanks for the pointer. took the front off the door last night to have a look. The connector that connects to the door latch seems to have blown or something - looks very brown, have uploaded a couple of pics of it to my album on here...

We have a FDD912 dishwasher and last night half way through a normal wash cycle it beeped and message on screen was door open. Door was shut tight. Have tried switching off and on and every program. No matter what we try we get the same beep and door open on screen. Guessing something has...
