Yes the dial for the ch is turned right off I have tried it with the programmer disconnected and still the same, hw works fine but as soon as demand for hw ceases diverter goes back to ch with pump running. And boiler firing (not constantly)also if I remove the motor head off the diverter it is...

Thanks,when you say heat bank do you mean the hot water tank under the diverter?shoyld it not default back to dhw anyway? Sorry to be a nuisance!
