English, I've lived her, in the S of France since the mid 80's. Lots of work self-employed, but now, retired, I'm restoring and ecologifying a stone house, built in the 1800's, but converted in the 1960's. Isolation, clean heating, and a waterproof roof were all missing. Theres about 3000m² of fertile garden and a stream on one borderline.
One side of the roof, about 50m² is S facing, with pojects for PV and solar heated water.
Lots of garden plans, very hard work though...
In fact it's all hard work, from decorating in another style than that of stuffy 60's, to branching the new boiler (granules) and solar and wind power.
Dreams are always hard to reach, but in the long they're worth each ache and pain, and bead of sweat.
