Sorry, I should have explained it a bit better, it's already wired into the receiver, so I'm wiring it back into the boiler side, the black wire goes to L1 on the receiver which is , live feed to item to be controlled, so I'm thinking it has to be live ?? Thanks

Hello everyone, I have a BAXI Duo Tech 28 combi ErP boiler, controlled with a Google nest thermostat, but last weekend the heat link decided to die, I got a replacement from Google and wired it exactly as the other one was wired but that was faulty, anyway that's another story, in the meantime...
