So just stacking some 600mm floor insulation in a pile on top of each other sitting next to the wall from the floor to the roof - is that what your suggesting? Its not going to get in the way, and this would be far cheaper and easier todo. With maybe a few lengths of rope to keep it in...

So after having a look in Wickes this evening, wondered about screwing battens to the wall, slotting 50mm insulation tiles in gaps then stapling insulating foil over the top to hold it all together. Any thoughts?

Our top Bedroom is pretty cold at the moment, it is the second floor of our terrace house, with a very small loft above it, and a another loft next to it. I have added another layer of insulation to the top loft to help as it only had one thin layer, but am wondering what to do about the other...
