yeah - cheers rjm. I think in the circumstance my best bet is to get an electrician round and see what they would charge to " do whatever is needed to comply with Part P " - whatever that entails

**If it were me, i'd do an EICR so you've got a piece of paper to wave at prospective buyers showing them the electrics are all good, and simply dont mention it. The electrics were installed by some electrician many years who didnt leave any paperwork, and you didnt realise you were supposed...
