Thanks John, much appreciated. It's a new build I want to put it in and the builder has told me they can't do it as the door cannot swing inwards to the garage . They seem to say this is NHBC rules but I'm sure building control is fine so I may check with NHBC myself. Thanks again.

Thanks John. Wasn't sure if hanging it to swing into the garage was ok as it's a fire door. Cheers

Hi I am looking to put a door at the bottom of my stairs into my garage. I have read up on the regs etc and all is fine but the requirement for the door swing to be at least 400mm from the bottom stair is tight. If I hang the door so it swings into the garage does that mean the 400mm...
