Flow on cold is slighlty more, but not by much..... I do get this squishy sound from the pump base when cold is introduced during commission but not with just the hot..

I also ran the shower very briefly with the cold water isolator right down to nearly closed, and ran on hot only, this was with the pump running, and it gave out hot water from the shower head, so i guess that would really confirm your diagnosis of the valve being faulty?

I have a small metal spindle with a small 90 degree bend, i just fed it down the tube and a gave it a very gentle prod. Both nice and springy.. All i can say about the commissioning is that the cold flow is more than the hot, but then again the cold is coming down and the hot is having to...

Thanks mate, I never gave it a thought... it was a late Friday Afternoon job, my darling daughters were moaning the hot tap on the bath was stiff, so i ended up changing the whole lot of them bath and basin... I was in such a rush it never entered my mind to isolate first.....lesson learnt...

Just a thought mate, but any chance that may have contributed to this fault?? And another quickie....what would you recommend for purging air locks out of the hot water system????

Thanks Seco, Its really challenged the old grey matter this one..... I will give Triton a call then, its only 5 months old, i had a Triton power shower previous to this one, kept the same plumbing as original.... The old one lasted 12 years and i only changed it because i re fitted the whole...

Hello mate, Thanks for the reply. Yep, good flow and plugs in place. Like i said, the shower was working ok up until the point i drained down the hot water system I can only assume its an air lock, but i'm damned if i can get it to run as before.
