Thanks everyone, problem now sorted. Left to run as advised, and after 15 - 20 minutes was working fine. No mention of this in instructions we got, so me thinks it is a BG plan to get us to keep their coffers full :lol: Anyway, thanks again for the advice, much appreciated.

had the offending boiler installed just over 2 years ago, went to put heating on tonight and no joy. When I look at the control panel, flame light comes on, but 'pump' does not start running and the digital display shows '-[]-' kind of symbol flashing. I will be calling boiler man out, just...
