    Hot water problem

It's a Danfoss TP9000. I think I need to leave it to the experts as my DIY skills are not the best! Appreciate all the suggestions though.

Thank you - no it only fires up for a minute or two I believe.

    Hot water problem

Yes it does - the central heating has been off since we moved in in July so the boiler is only firing up for the water.

    Hot water problem

No it seems clear to me.

    Hot water problem

The meter originally read 8457.39, I turned the boiler on and three minutes later the meter read 8457.48. I'm not aware of any leaks. I think I've made the right choice in contacting an engineer as clearly something between the thermostat, the boiler and the water cylinder is not working as it...

Thanks, yes it was built in 2017 but we don't have contact with the previous owners. Just did the test and the meter increased by 0.09 (8457.48 from 8457.39), which if my maths is correct is a consumption of 19.8 in 3 minutes.

It's an Ideal Logic Heat 15 and yes that's correct - it's firing up every time hot water is used when it's only programmed to come on between 5 and 6pm.

Sorry but I don't understand the questions. Surely the boiler shouldn't fire up at all if it isn't programmed to do so? That's the whole point.

    Hot water problem

No, it actually comes on after the hot water tap has been turned off. We have an engineer coming out to take a look next week.

    Hot water problem

Thanks, appreciate the suggestion but I'm more concerned about why the boiler keeps coming on in the first place when it shouldn't be.

    Hot water problem

    Sadly not - see attached.

No it only fires up after a hot tap has been run or a shower/bath is in use. If it's relevant, the boiler also constantly displays a 'C' status.

    Hot water problem

Yes pretty sure. Although surely it shouldn't fire up at all if the hot water is only programmed to come on for an hour a day?

Thanks - here are the pics. The boiler is an Ideal Logic Heat 15 and the thermostat is a Danfoss TP9000.
