I refilled the system but I switched on the heating for about 5 minutes before I bled the rads! When I turn heating or water on, the pump is noisy and if I bleed the pump it seems to spit air out of the bleed hole for ages. I seem to be getting hot (warm) water to the tank and a little bit...

I have just moved a downstairs radiator and allowed the system to drain down through the disconnected pipes. Unfortunately I didn't know you had to switch off the boiler first! I have refilled the system and bled all the rads but when I switch on the boiler I dont get hot water to the cylinder...
