oh one other thing i noticed/read on here - will a vacuum be held when i drain down so i only drain down some of the system water? or will it likely not as there's 2 open ends on the pump?

drain the whole system until it stops then i guess and refill with inhibitor the best bet?
one other thing - the rubber gasket that comes with the pump head creates the seal between head and body, plus i'll use some silicone grease around the gasket to help it -...
The pump has been blowing the 3 amp fuse in the fused spur - so have ordered one up to replace (pump head)
basically, my question is - is it best to drain down whole system or to just isolate boiler flow and return valves under boiler and drain down boiler? I am wary that these can leak...
