How can I check? I did think of this and have tried both ways, but I don't have the instructions that came with it (fitter binned them). have already WD40d it. I'll give it another go, and if I can't budge it, call someone in. Cheers for your help. Stuart

2 replies in 6 minutes. That's impressive! I will give it another go, but I haven't exactly been holding back so far! The whole tap assembly starts to move if I push too hard which is a bit of a problem. That is the thing I want to undo then? :oops:

Just signed up, so first off, hi everyone! :D The tap that operates the shower on our shower/bath tap is really stiff. We had a plumber in to do some other work over a year ago, and he had a look at it. he said it was probably a problem with scale or the washer, but that he couldn't open...
