Thanks Kevplumb! I flicked the lever to summertime and then back to winter and ran half a bath of hot water! It seems to be working now! I'm hoping this means i don't need a diaphragm (or can at least put if off until January) Thanks for all your help - you deserve a medal! sugarflux

I found it It's a 8Type S 620 F (There is a screw-type-thing in between the 'S' and the '6' sothere may be an extra digit in there? The front panel is white and the sides are grey.... I'm hoping this is a good thing?
