@mikeyd there around 30 ceiling lights in the whole house. 6 for only stairs and landing.
Not sure would that be in budget to replace the lights with smart ones.

Thanks for the reply. Yes the last one you showed is the one that controls the stairs lights (which are in turn controlled by two more switches upstairs).

I am trying to make the switches smart. Here is one 3 gang switch box which controls porch light, hallway light and stairs (2 more switches upstairs which control the same stair lights).
I could not understand the wiring here as everything is brown and the blue ones (guess'd neutral) are inside...
Finally !! solved it... :)
The problem is with one of the keep bottom and top so had to do a trial and error by removing and fixing each one of the 7 keeps and fixed them by adjusting.

Could not turn thr circular bits they are very hard to turn.
So i have removed the deadbolt keep but still same result so removed all 3 keeps and no luck either.
Tried with ink and putting some masking tape on the deadbolt keep but i do not see any marks on it.
