External wall built on top of internal screed DPM

I might be wrong but I am pretty sure the wall has no dpc... I might try my luck with trying to catch (and extend) the dpm from the inside. If not then yeah pulling it all out and redoing it with insulation is one option (which admittedly was trying to avoid as I was also looking at UFH......)...

External wall built on top of internal screed DPM

I am not 100% sure it's the same DPM but it's 95% sure for the following reasons: - I can see the dpm sticking up inside against all wall but that back wall. - We get a large water mark on the floor all along that back wall. While the wall is perfectly dry above. - Internal height of the floor...

External wall built on top of internal screed DPM

So I am in the middle of converting a small barn and trying to track down some water ingress I discovered that the previous owner built the back wall of the barn onto the internal screed DPM which ends outside - see pictures attached. This is causing water ingress on the inside on the floor all...

    ACO Drain connection

Ideally yes because I also need to install gutters and downpipes for the garage which need to go to the same soak pit. I was planning on using the ACO drain to do so. But if it proves to be too difficult then I my need find an other solution for my downpipes and do as you suggested.

    ACO Drain connection

I am installing this ACO drain in front of my garage door. I need to connect it to this 68mm gutter pipe which goes to an existing soak pit. I Don’t have a lot of room to play with around the pipe and I can’t move/slide it without breaking a lot more concrete. How can I easily connect my ACO...

Pitched Roof Ventilation - Barn Conversion

I am working on converting a small agricultural barn made of granite stone into a dwelling with vaulted ceiling (for the head height upstairs). The pitched roof is in a very good state as it was redone 15 years ago. It's made of slate, bitumen membrane and rafters are every 400mm. Ridge is...

    Restrain straps roof top plate

I need to strap my roof top plate to my walls (2ft granite stone wall) however the plate is on the outer wall and too far away to use the bent restrain straps. Most of them have a bent at 100mm so it's not reaching the plate. What is my solution here? Can I use twisted restrain straps onto the...

    Latex floor cracks

So where we had hollow spots we took a knife and lifted. See pictures. https://www.flickr.com/gp/92750205@N08/79z3k6 Basically it seems that sort of tape they use did not stay on properly in some spot. The tape was used over crack of the first layer. The first layer is solid though. Builder...

    Latex floor cracks

They did it in two stages. One layer was latex bag and bottle and second I am not sure. They used ultratilefix pro level product for the first layer but not sure about the second one and other details. The latex was done tuesday and yesterday the plumber came to install the ugh monitor and...

Hi, As part of our new extension our builder laid latex on top of the ufh but it’s been 2 days and there are lots of cracks appearing, see pictures attached. In some area it also cracks when walking over it. I am trying to see if this is airline crack and nothing to worry about or if it’s no...
