Also.....for some reason it appear the earth wires are not connected to the earth port. Presume it goes without saying that this should be connected to the earth port on the picture before slotting the Hive onto the backplate.

Thanks Johnmdc, I thought I could just do that but wanted confirmation. I don't have a separate thermostat installed currently and currently the heating and hot water can be operated independently. Therefore just pop it on and go for it? T

Afternoon all, I am looking to install a Hive Heating Kit onto a Oil condensing boiler that is currently controlled by a Drayton LP522 programmer. Looking at this I cannot get British Gas to instal as they only have gas engineers and won't touch an oil system. I have basic electrical skills...
