it definetlry sounds like a blockage between ur sink,does not sound like a blockage in the washingmachine,so if u do go and buy a new machine u will have the same problem

you main board could be gone or it could be a wire off somewhere,has there been any lights flashing on the machine?

yeah what cakeman said but failing that and u still cant get it open u may have to smack the door pekka or catch,but if u put ur hand on the doorock after u have unpluged it and try and push the catch either way it should open

is it a top loader,ie:does the lid open from the top?,it could be the catch or the mecanism what the catch connects too being faulty

check your brushes first the situated on ur motor they have 2 screws normally.but to me it sounds like ur motor they are a common fault on the hoover,especially the older makes

it sounds like your motor could have gone or your pressure switch pipe has air in it but i would say more the motor try
