    Tigerloop problem

Thanks for all the help guys. As someone suggested, i first put both the flow and return flexis into a bucket of oil. Boiler ran fine in this setup, no problem. I then connected both the flow and return to the tigerloop, and then put the inlet to the tigerloop directly into the bucket of oil...

    Tigerloop problem

do the flow and return swivel elbow flexibles need sealant for connecting to the pump? also, the flexible that came with the boiler (for flow) has a very slightly different rounded end to the one i bought at screwfix (for return); screwfix one seems to have more of a flattened top

    Tigerloop problem

do you know why? i'm hesitant to remove my non-return valve without knowing why!

is that to let out any air trapped inside the pump?

    Tigerloop problem

ah okay. i installed the non-return valve before i knew i needed a tigerloop. will that affect the tigerloop's performance?

why's that? i never saw that mentioned in any of the documentation...

    Tigerloop problem

i could try that. there's a non-return valve between the tank and the tigerloop, so i'd just need to run an additional line up to the tank.

    Tigerloop problem

this is the first installation, so it's never been run properly; I'm just trying to get it to work now. Where should I be checking for possible air leakages? Inbetween the Tigerloop and the burner, or before the Tigerloop (or both)?

    Tigerloop problem

Yeah, there's oil in the tank; our Aga is running just fine. How can I check out the non-return valve in the return port of the Tigerloop (it's a solid Aluminium one...) could the pump suction be set too high? is it possible to adjust that on the Grant Vortex Eco Pro?

    Tigerloop problem

unfortunately the tigerloop bio is made of aluminium so i can't see inside it... but some oil came out of the bottom last time i disconnected it...

how do you mean? the override screw is in on the burner, so it's running as a two-pipe system
