Vaillant EcoTec F22 error at night

I’m not sure I completely follow - you wrote ‘the increase in pump pressure’. I manually put it to level 3 after the boiler had tripped a few times that week. It doesn’t seem to have made much difference though

Vaillant EcoTec F22 error at night

It’s a Grundfos Alpha 2… I don’t think it’s the pump because as I previously said, it’s never tripped the boiler during the day, only ever in the middle of the night - sometimes not every night.

Vaillant EcoTec F22 error at night

My boiler is actually a British Gas BG330+ The fault codes are the same as I’ve looked it up. The Grundfos pump which I have has been put on setting 3 which is its highest, and also the setting it should be on to expel and air in the system

Vaillant EcoTec F22 error at night

No it’s not a combi boiler. The pressure in the system is 1.4 bar. Whenever I have bled the rads the pressure may drop to 1.3 in which case I top it up a little. I do also have inhibitor in the system. The common denominator which I think could be related to this is the outside temp. On nights...

Vaillant EcoTec F22 error at night

Did you ever get to the bottom of this mate? I’m having the same issue - although it doesn’t do it every single night and has never done it during the day. I’m thinking it’s got something to do with when the ambient temperature outside gets cold it does something to the boiler as I’ve not really...

    F25 Boiler Fault BG 330+

Not sure what you mean by this? Also just to note this has not been happening every day just a few times spaced apart so it’s not like it keeps happening every single night when the rads come on - also I’ve not encountered this during the day at all

    F25 Boiler Fault BG 330+

Hi my Grundfos pump seems fine and regarding air I have bled all my rads properly. I would say though that one or two of my rads do keep getting a bit of air in them and I’m not sure why? I did have the heating system powerflushed a couple of months back so it’s been running nice and smoothly. I...

    F25 Boiler Fault BG 330+

Hi all… I am randomly getting the above fault code come up on the boiler. Generally I have seen it come up a couple of times randomly when I’ve got up in the morning and the house is cold, so basically the boiler has tripped in the middle of the night. I have googled it and understand it’s when...

    Shower pressure difference (Identical Showers)

Hi guys… I have a megaflo unvented cylinder so I am on mains pressure which is pretty good. I’ve got 2 showers upstairs which are both new and both have identical Grohe shower bar sets with new heads and hoses etc. I have noticed that one of the showers has really vigorous pressure when you...

    New house - CCTV System

Hi all. Recently purchased a new house which has 4 x CCTV cameras installed however it’s not working. I have located the DC supply box however when you flick the switch, the green light on the board does not power on. I’ve checked the 3 pin lead feeding it and that deffo works so not sure. I’m...

    Solar Panels with Unvented Cylinder

Thanks for all your replies… I might be wrong but it almost sounds like what I wanted isn’t really worth it? We are a family of 2 adults and 2 kids so it’s not like we need a constant supply of HW as no one’s in during the day anyway apart from weekends. In my current house we literally just...

    Solar Panels with Unvented Cylinder

Hi all I’m in the process of buying a house which has the traditional central heating/HW system whereby there is a cold water tank in the loft and vented cylinder in the airing cupboard. I am looking to replace the cylinder with an unvented megaflo cylinder as the HW pressure out of the taps...
