Compartment ventilation for a Halstead combi boiler?

Hi there, This is a Wickes Combi 102 (Halstead). I want to box it in as the room is now a bedroom and I need to shut off the noise. I would like to be able to box this in completely with no venting - is this allowed/possible? If it requires venting, am I allowed to vent into the loft...

    New flooring lifting at edge

Hi all. This is the flooring in question: http://tinyurl.com/5fylt9 Expansion is 12mm on 3 edges (as per instructions). The flooring is 'sitting up' on the edge that has no wall (i.e. where the carpet will go next weekend). so expansion certainly not the culpirt. Floor was laid on...

Is this underlay okay for my wooden flooring?

Pretty uneven! Will be filling in the holes this weekend with Sikafloor Level 25. Based on your reply, will probably go for the Wickes in that case. Many thanks Woodyoulike. TEk

Just a thought, could I mortar beneath the plaster to create the straight edge?

Wooden flooring against uneven wall with no skirting

Thanks for the reply JohnD, Unfortunately, the brickwork is far from fair, and there is not enough depth to insert battens. Looks like I'm stuck with skirting AND quadrants. Thanks anyways, TEk

Wooden flooring against uneven wall with no skirting

Hi all, Just got to thinking about this weekends work, and need some advice. Wooden flooring on concrete base. Plan to put skirting in after the flooring so that it fits neatly over the expansion gap. Trouble is that the mortar behind the old skirting is so uneven, I am wondering how I...

    Disaster looming?

I assume then it's back to basics, 2 coats PVA and skim whilst 2nd coat of PVA is tacky? Then 2nd skim whilst 1st skim is 'spongey'? (I think that was the word he used in class!) Really appreciate your answers chaps.

    Disaster looming?

Appreciate it. How long do I leave the first/scratch coat to dry for before skimming?

    Disaster looming?
