Fill gap between metal doors and wall

Someone else has advised that the only decent fix apart from new doors that fit, is to take the doors out and get matching packers / extensions added to the sides. How does this sound?

Fill gap between metal doors and wall

Is that because the filler will prevent normal movement?

Fill gap between metal doors and wall

Thank you all. I’ll call the company in the morning about replacement doors. They’re back at the end of the week to install a pane of glass that was dropped at the depot so I’ll recommend the trim for the meantime. I’m covering the foam with external filler as it’s going to rain in the week...

Fill gap between metal doors and wall

Can anyone help with this? New aluminium external doors have been measured 20mm short on both sides and fitted. Fitters have foamed in but left the gap. Any ideas how to fill this and weatherproof?

    Paving to the DPC line

Thanks for the replies. Looks like I need to decide between breaking up the slab or putting in measures to deal with the drainage then. It’s a very big bit of concrete. Least it’s only two bricks deep.

Any landscapers / experienced gardeners able to offer a bit of advice. I’m removing an old conservatory and am keeping the concrete slab as part of the patio area. Is laying porcelain tiles on a concrete slab different? Do I need to use epoxy grout etc

Idea is to pave over the slab but it comes to the wall, level with the DPC. I’m struggling to find a solution to keep my brickwork from getting damp. Any...

Very noisy, gushing, whirring etc sound in pipework around grundfos pump and boiler.

The day after having two new radiators put on I’ve got very noisy pipework around the Grundfos pump and boiler. So bad I’ve switched it all off and nearly ran off. Worse on a water heating cycle than central heating. Pump is very hot to touch. Please see videos. Open vented system. I’ve bled all...

Can I identify what pipes on a manifold connect to a specific radiator?

I have 10mm microbore from a manifold under the boiler supplying 5 rads downstairs. The pipework is buried under the concrete floor. I found a damaged loop under the floor which must have previously supplied a rad no longer there. British Gas have now capped it off. As the loop is no longer...
