I'm not a plumber, just a diyer but I'd replace with any bottom entry fill valve. You don't need to match the existing. My preference would be for Geberit but there are loads of makes and they're all similarly narrow so should fit. Alternatively you could take the existing one apart and try to...
If the pump has a continuous 230v power supply throughout the period then does suggest the pump is faulty and needs replacing. Even if the impeller spins freely when turned manually if you have developed a short on the windings then new pump needed I'm afraid - although 15 years isn't bad!
AFAIK the boiler doesn't use a diverter valve. Instead there are two paths for the primary flow to take when leaving the main heat exchanger. When there is a heating demand, the left hand pump operates driving hot primary water round the radiator circuit. When you have hot water demand the right...
You're right - if you go for the System version it will have an expansion vessel and pump included. I think the burner on that model is a Riello - and I think it uses LEDs to indicate a fault code. Upgrading the system to pressurised one would also require you to upgrade your hot water cylinder...
Hi,
Looking for any (constructive ;)) feedback on the schematic below. Trying to find a way to make use of multiple heat sources (OV Heat only boiler and Thermal Store with woodburner/solar thermal).
All the major elements except for the UDH are already installed.
Boiler has PDHW and Weather...
I'm new so not sure whether this is appropriate - so go easy if not ;) but I'd like to get the feedback from some of the experienced gas engineers that might be on here.
For my sins I am a governor at a large school and the gas pipework that serves the main kitchen appliances is being renewed...
