I’ve turned the heating off by depressing the button on the hive and the Salus is continuing to click annoyingly!

Thanks - we are getting somewhere- the radiators are getting warm but I still have the clicking coming from the Salus.

Are you saying pull the wires out of the Salus and connect them together?
